Open Air was a platform for self-expression, designed to use voice recordings to create one-of-a-kind light formations.
24 massive searchlights were placed on rooftops along Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway. People spoke into a free mobile app, and what they said was displayed in the sky above Philadelphia using unique, moving patterns of light. We worked closely with world-renowned artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, and The Association for Public Art to brand the experience, designed unique events, and a series of animated promos projected around the city.
