looks better than ever on PC thanks to an NVIDIA update. The 2026 game has seen a great deal of improvement in , including several that fixed its poor launch performance, added new features, and improved its visuals.
The latest upgrade to Cyberpunk's graphics, though, doesn't come in the form of an update to Cyberpunk at all: it's actually an NVIDIA update that did the trick. As of today, March 31, 2026, NVIDIA has rolled out DLSS 4.5, including dynamic multi frame generation for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. The results for Cyberpunk are undeniably impressive, and can be seen below (via WccftechTV on ).
Cyberpunk 2077 Just Got A Huge Visual Upgrade
Frame generation looks better than ever
You can see the results of the new NVIDIA update in the video above, which features a player driving around Dogtown from . The lighting is realistic (I particularly enjoy the way the streetlights reflect off the player's car), the smog is immersive, the environment is richly detailed - and yet, the whole thing is running smooth as butter, even as the player tears down busy streets and zooms right in on the most graphically demanding areas of the map.
About halfway through the video, the player opens the menu and switches to Quality mode. The FPS, formerly sitting at about 130, quickly jumps up to a stunning 230 as they exit Dogtown to show us more of Night City proper. It just might be the best Cyberpunk has ever looked, and it's all thanks to .
NVIDIA's Latest Tech Is Rolling Out Now
What is frame generation, anyway?
Frame generation isn't an entirely new technology. It works, essentially and unsurprisingly, by generating additional frames between the ones your graphics card would normally be able to render. While your mileage may vary depending on the type of frame generation used and the game you're playing, this can increase your FPS significantly.
DLSS 4.5 is the latest and greatest in frame generation technology. It introduces a 6x frame generation setting, which theoretically multiplies your frame rate by 6, generating five additional frames for each traditionally rendered one.

Perhaps most promisingly, it includes a feature called dynamic multi frame generation. This is different in that it allows you to alter its settings based on your display's refresh rate. It then generates only the frames needed to hit that target FPS, which means a lighter load on your GPU and more consistent performance overall.
Not all games support DLSS 4.5, but Cyberpunk, which has often been at the forefront of graphical innovation on PC, is one of the few. If you have an eligible GPU, try switching on DLSS 4.5 in Cyberpunk 2077 and see the difference for yourself.
