There are few things the love more than a mystery. Over the decades, the Marvel Universe has bombarded the team's iconic heroes with more questions than it could ever answer. From mysterious deaths to last-minute betrayals, X-Men knows how to keep its heroes (and fans) guessing, but as this week just proved, sometimes the Marvel series does give us answers if we're patient enough.

The answer in question comes from the most recent release of Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant. The series, which began back in February 2026, promises to usher in Marvel's greatest era for Ororo Munroe yet. the Storm has spent much of these series bracing for a cosmic war. In the background, fans have spotted a rather strange character lurking around the One Above All, and we just learned who the figure really is.

As you can see above, Storm is able to corner the mysterious astronaut they spotted hiding in the One Above All. The mutant is initially convinced the space explorer is dead, but once Storm gets the stranger's helmet off, all of her thoughts are turned upside down. Marvel reveals a version of N'Dare is in the suit, answering a .

Storm's Mother Is Making A Return To The Marvel Universe

There is no telling what N'Dare is doing on One Above All, but fans are already going to the ground with speculation. It only makes sense that Storm's mom appears in this solo series given its focus on Munroe's legacy. However, the nature of N'Dare's return is rather shocking given the character died back in 2018.

If you are you should know her mother has played a huge role in the Marvel Universe. The heroine was born a princess to a simple tribe in Kenya as her bloodline connected N'Dare to a coven of white-haired witch-priestesses. N'Dare did not inherit the looks of her family, making her an outsider that ultimately left home to study in the United States. It was there N'Dare met David Munroe and had Storm. A tragic plane crash killed Storm's parents when she was just six, but the X-Men icon would meet her mother later down the road. The couple was resurrected at one point by the god Uovu in a bid to make Storm join their side, but after the diety was destroyed, Storm got the chance to bid her parents farewell in peace before they vanished.
