With season 1's captain character making a tragic exit in the finale, a new one is officially on their way in for season 2.
Paramount has confirmed two new additions to , including Bokeem Woodbine as the NYPD's Homicide Captain Mixon and Nona Parker Johnson as Officer Fiona Mixon, the Captain's daughter. Captain Mixon is described as a "bulldog of a homicide captain," while Fiona is a "nepo-baby in the police world" as a training officer in the Homicide unit.
Though the NYPD's homicide captain wasn't introduced in season 1, the position was previously represented in the sequel series by returning original character Angel Batista (David Zayas), who served as Miami Metro's Homicide Captain before retiring and hunting down Michael C.
