Hardy, who starred as James Keziah Delaney, did more than just headline the series, as he also co-created Taboo with his father, Chris Hardy, and Peaky Blinders' Steven Knight. The FX series also featured Jessie Buckley as Lorna Delaney, Oona Chaplin as Zilpha Geary, Leo Bill as Benjamin Wilton, Stephen Graham as Atticus, Michael Kelly as Edgar Dumbarton, Tom Hollander as George Cholmondeley, Jonathan Pryce as Sir Stuart Strange, and Mark Gatiss as Prince George.
This is just that Hardy worked on, as they had collaborated on Peaky Blinders years prior. The Taboo drama also starred David Hayman, Jefferson Hall, Edward Hogg, and Franka Potente in season 1, which consists of eight episodes.
To this day, the Taboo series is still holding an impressive critical reception with audience members and members of the press. At the time of this story's publication, the 2017 show has 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, while holding a 91% rating on the Popcornmeter.

His work in the show led Hardy to being nominated for Best Actor in a Drama/Genre Series at the Satellite Awards.
