Released back in 2013 as the spiritual successor to 1991's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the Nintendo 3DS' The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds marked the 17th mainline installment in franchise and follows Link as he sets out to restore peace in the kingdom of Hyrule following the kidnapping of Princess Zelda. As with many video games that receive mixed reviews at launch, the passage of time often changes the minds of the biggest of doubters, and that is seemingly the case with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, which is now considered to be an underrated classic in the Zelda franchise. Now that it has been well over a decade, fans appreciate the unique approach the game took, and it is perhaps why one creator has decided to embark on a project to bring A Link Between Worlds up-to-date with modern graphics.

This comes courtesy of on YouTube, who has been working on a texture pack for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Although the project is a work-in-progress, it is available to play from start to finish and aims to completely overhaul the visuals of the game, as well as add new features such as shaders. As a result, A Link Between Worlds can now be enjoyed at up to 4K/60fps, but this can only be achieved through an emulator or on mobile.

In a video shared to Henriko Magnifico's YouTube page, you can see the texture pack for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds in action, and it is safe to say that the underrated gem has never looked better and really shines a light on the unique art-style that caused some controversy at launch.
